Cement plug

Cement plug:

  1. A specific volume or cement placed at some point in the wellbore to seal off the well.
  2. A device used during a primary cement job to separate the cement slurry from contaminating fluid in the casing. A wiper plug is pumped ahead of the slurry and a shut off plug behind the slurry.
