Flow unit

The flow unit is a petrophysical term used to describe units of rock that have similar rock properties, not necessarily uniform, and can be recognised and correlated typically on wireline logs. Flow units for the basis of the layers in a reservoir simulator and may or may not coincide with the geobody depending on the scale of the geobody and the separation of the wells.
